"When I was a child I saw my grandmother sew all the time. I would grab scraps of fabric I found on the floor, to make clothes for my dolls. Basically my designs consisted in just wrapping the scraps around the dolls and hand-sewing them in place: haute couture at five! Funny, but I felt like I had completed a valuable piece of artwork.
As I grew, my love for fashion making grew as well. I started-off by sketching in the back of my notebooks between classes and even if the sketches were terrible (that they were) to me it was everything. Then, the summer before my fifteen birthday, with no sewing experience or knowledge besides the basic hand stitch, my mom takes me to my first fashion design sketching class. There sitting still and paying attention to every detail of the class, it was then when I fell in love with this profession and when I knew I wanted to be a fashion designer.

Our Vision
Born and raised in the city of Mayaguez, Xamarah Seda discovered her love and passion for fashion design at an early age. Though, it was not until her freshman year that she formally started taking sewing and pattern design lessons. Xamarah started sketching in 2002 when she was in fifth grade, by 2006 she established her designs brand and in 2011 her sewing line. Besides fashion designing, Xamarah obtained a Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Puerro Rico at Mayaguez in 2015.

As of now, I've been training myself with the best local designers to accomplish my dream: become a full time fashion designer. Tommie Hernández, Olga Alicea, Héctor Musse and Carlota Alfaro, besides being some of the best designers on Puerto Rico, have also been my mentors and responsible for my growth in this profession."
